Rampant Crime on Glenn Ave in Auburn

Somebody ripped the lip off my bumper from my parking lot. This is getting fucking ridiculous.

I am still here

I figured I should make another entry before people start thinking that my blog is dead. My brother's been asking if I've stopped blogging and I guess when your own brother asks you that you better get off your ass and publish some entries.

My family's moved back to Singapore. Last I heard, they've bought a condominum in Simei. Not all is well though. My parents are having some problems with the educational arrangements for my brother. The people in the schools involved are just being typical Singaporeans who have been conditioned to not make any decisions and obey the law book, so even though special situations that are not covered in the lawbook arises, they are unable to use their initiative and think creatively and come up with a suitable solution. They revert to their "save my own ass" routine of claiming a lack of a precedent, and then going on to justify that a lack of a precedent indicates that the proposed solution is not acceptable. The Singaporean Government is trying to encourage creativity in its population. START BY EMPOWERING YOUR CIVIL SERVANTS TO MAKE DECISIONS. If our teachers cannot exercise creative thinking in problem solving, how are their students supposed to be creative? All that "we want a creative workforce for an economy based on intellectual properties" talk and we still stifle the creativity of our teachers by locking them in bureaucracy ? Why don't we get professors in marine biology who've never left Mongolia to come teach marine biology in our universities? Maybe it's me, but it seems a little RE TAR DED. (Insert Ned Los sound here.)
