Act of God (plus stupidity on my part)

Lightning struck a power line near my apartment yesterday. The resultant power surge killed the tv, gamecube and rendered the wan port of the wireless router inoperable. It was at that point in time when I realized that the surge protector that I had was hooked up to a power socket that wasn't earthed. Never thought such a thing would happen. Fucking Alabama and its surface power lines. I guess I was too used to having power lines BURIED IN THE GROUND.

Since now I am broke and bored, I've set up the Vic Lee's Lightning Disaster Fund. Please send any contributions via paypal to leenian@auburn.edu.

UFO COVERUP!

Are you a conspiracy theorist? Do you believe that a UFO crashed in Roswell in the 50s and was covered up by the US government? I've thought a bit about this after watching a UFO documentary on the National Geographic Channel the other day, and a revelation struck me. There is no conspiracy. I know this simply because of the fact that the world was poised on the brink of nuclear war in those times. The government of the United States, as well as that of Red Russia would have reported any UFO crashes at that time, as despite appearances, both governments feared war above all else. Proof of a greater threat to humanity in the form of technologically advanced aliens would have been the catalyst required to bring all mankind together in one cause, and bridge any rifts between human cultures.

There is no government cover up. Get a life. The only aliens in Roswell are Mexicans.
